The P.R.I.D.E. Team hosted it's First Quarterly Social for the year. We didn't get a lot of people there, but we had fun anyway. The officers presented 4 of the members who are going to IBM Certificates and told them we would be sending them another gift later. They were all completely surprised. Success!

Also, the Pride Committee of Houston also attended and so glad they came. Made some great connections! But the most satisfying moment of the evening was when we started talking to the waitress who was serving our drinks. Rusty and I found out from her that her mother died of AIDS 12 years ago. She really wants to do more and we gave her our contact info and hopefully she will be walking with us in our Pride Parade. Hmmm...maybe she wouldn't mind volunteering for Bunnies on the Bayou.

I just got diagnosed with Tonsilitis. So, I am currently resting at home for the rest of the week. I hung on as long as I could at work and ended up making another coworker sick. After going to the doctor, they finally realized that I was really sick and contagious.

I am the type that will work and work until someone tells me to go home. But no one did...

The actor invited the students of Klein High School's Gay-Straight Alliance to attend. They have had such a hard time getting that group started and glad that they finally did. A co-worker and I attended the show to talk to them and hope that we can get some of then to talk at the bank during PRIDE Month in June. Very nice kids! I'm glad we made the connection. In turn, I would like to get some team members from the bank together to talk with the kids and possibly fund one of their events. We will see.

I'm back! Been too busy to post but have been reading everyone's updates. I can't guarantee that I will be posting regularly but will do my best.

Well, I just finished a successful run of FOREVER PLAID and hopefully will be doing the show again soon. During the run, I had something was up with my foot. Went to my doctor recently and now I've gotta go to a podiatrist.

I moved to a different area in my department at the bank and am now the Chair of the GLBT Employee Networking Group. So I have been busy with that.

I met a guy in September and I really thought this was gonnna be a good one but, once again, it didn't work. He did come to my opening night - which is more than I can say for most of my friends. He still can't let go of this asshole and now he's stopped calling me.

So I took all the stuffed bears, clothes and stuff he let me borrow and placed it in his front door. And wouldn't you know the asshole's car was in the driveway. I rang the doorbell but no one answered - but someone came to the door.

I feel bad about his situation but I want someone that can talk to me about this - rather than hiding from me.

I feel like I just wasn't meant to be in a relationship. I can't treat someone like shit and make them want me for that. So I'll just keep myself busy with work and volunteer stuff for now.

And barkis, you haven't done a good job with answering my phone call from...January!

I know it's been a long time since I have posted on here, but I have been busy with work and working out. And my most recent endeavor is I just joined a rugby team!

I just went to my first practice yesterday and it was great. I was never really much of a jock in school but I might be able to enjoy this. It's fun and great comeradere! Sounds like they love to eat and get drunk. I'm not sure about the drinking and also the eating bad but I think it'll be ok.

So, barcis what's up?? Call me!

Had Chinese Buffet with barkis last night. We had a great time talking about people in theatre that will remain nameless...even though they probably won't look on here..but you never know!

This morning I have a nice headache..I think it is from the MSG from last night's food. Ugh!

I just got back from the beach with my nephew. We flew a kite. I haven't done that in years! Also, got my passport picture done to renew my passport for my trip to the Philippines. Now I am going back to take him swimming.

I am heading down to Galveston to see my parents and also my nephew spent the night there because he knew that I was gonna visit today. I still have some time because they are going to Church at 10. I need to get my clothes that I want to wash and prepare my meals and put some air in my front tire and get my dad's gift and card before I get there.

I'm so sore!!!!

Sorry I haven't been wrting much lately. Just focusing on exercising. Most of my entries are at gymrats.

Only had time for 40 minutes of walking around my neighborhood. Didn't prepare my meals last night, so doing that this morning. Plan to go to the gym for more cardio tonight.

Whoa! I have had a marathon of a weekend. I was supposed to go to a training ride this morning for the MS150 but was too tired.

Since 6pm Friday, I have been judging a high school speech tournament. I thought I could handle it until they asked my what a paradym is. What the hell is a paradym? paradim? I bet I looked like a total loser. davomatic was there too and I was so glad. It made that experience so much bearable and I had someone to talk to. Thanks! I got to meet barkis friend, Travis. He is a very nice guy and took very good care of me and Davomatic.

Got home around 11:30pm on Friday night and had to wake up early to get there before 8pm. After a couple Lincoln-Douglas debates (one-on-one), Davomatic and I got to judge the Acting Duet Finals and the Prose Interepretation Finals. I really enjoyed that actually. Almost had to do another LD debate, but got out of it. My head was pounding!! But I had reservation to see "An Experiment with An Air Pump". Despite the title, it was a great show. Knew some people in the show and went to Houston's. Actually, one of the judges from the tournament was there with my friend, Debs. We got to tell everyone at the table about our experiences. One of the actresses told us about her Enron experiences. Very interesting! We stood out in the cold at midnight to listen to her.

Just had lunch with my brother at Star Pizza. Yum!!! The went to look at CD's but didn't buy anything.

barkis, I was wondering if you were doing the MS150 this year. If not, can I borrow your bike???

My manager gave me a project to correct social security numbers on two systems - ALS (which I know) and PRODFACS (which I had no clue and neither did anyone else so I ended up playing around with the system and got them all corrected). But unfortunately, I didn't get anything else done. Ah well! And also got minutes for the Pride Parade Steering Committee and a broadcast for the AIDS Walk Team Captain.

I love the weather cause I don't have to iron shirts...just put on a sweater! And I also get to wear my knit cap from the GAP that I got myself for Christmas. Makes me look kinda rough.
